The Hino 300 Series 4x4  offers animpressive list of standard features including driver and passenger SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), cruise control, and 4 wheel disc brakes. Plus, it’s the only 4x4 truck in Australia with a reverse camera as standard.

We’ve put driver comfort first – with an ergonomically designed interior including a magnetically dampened torsion bar suspended driver’s seat, and a surefooted step arrangement with long hand grips for class leading three points of contact when entering and exiting the truck. The multi-leaf front and rear suspension tuned for Australian conditions allows for further comfort on and off-road.

The Hino 300 Series 4x4 delivers more power and torque than you’re used to with a 165Hp (121kW) engine that produces 464Nm of torque. A 6 speed manual transmission offering the widest spread of ratios, combined with a Hino transfer case with superior low range gearing delivering the lowest crawl speed in it’s class. The additional 6th gear also helps to improve fuel efficiency and increase comfort levels during long distance driving by lowering the engine Rpm at highway speeds.

Not content with developing the truck on the Hino test tracks in Japan, the 300 Series 4x4 trucks also underwent years of real-world Australian field testing. Selected Hino customers have been evaluating these prototype trucks on and off-road in some of the harshest Australian bush-tracks, trails and roads. The test trucks have operated flawlessly across various types of terrain from the deserts of Australia’s interior to the rainforests of far northern Queensland, and they haven’t missed a beat!

Field Customer Testing

Cook Shire Council covers Cooktown to the Jardine River in Cape York which has 1600 kilometres of unsealed road in that area. This customer has had the prototype for the past three years and has done over 40,000 kilometres in it, at least 90 percent of that has been on dirt roads in operational

Kennedy Drilling specialise in RC, RAB and air core drilling and have an area of operation that is basically all of Western Australia out through Northern Territory, over to Mt Isa in Queensland and down through South Australia. This customer covers more than half of the country, and a lot of that is off-road, or severe off-road, towing trailers and operating through the scrubs.
